The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the A3 Trunk Road (Robin Hood Way (South) Service Road, Kingston Upon Thames) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 20th December 1993.
2. In this Order-
"Robin Hood Way" means the main carriageways of the length of the A3 Trunk Road in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames known by that name; and
"Robin Hood Way (South) service road" means that length of the trunk road which lies on the eastern side of and parallel to Robin Hood Way.
3. Save as provided in article 4 below, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter Robin Hood Way from the northern extremity of Robin Hood Way (South) service road.
4. Nothing in this Order shall apply to-
(a)any vehicle being used for fire brigade, police or ambulance purposes; or
(b)anything done with permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
