Whereas, pursuant to section 18(1) of the Agriculture Act 1986(1) the Secretary of State has by order designated an area comprising the District of Ynys Môn-Isle of Anglesey as an environmentally sensitive area;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 18(1) and (4) of the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the consent of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Ynys Môn) Designation (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st November 1993.
2.-(1) Article 6(3) of the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Ynys Môn) Designation Order 1993(2) (rates of payment under agreement) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3) below.
(2) In sub-“paragraph (c) the words "or coastal belt which includes heather" shall be deleted.
(3) In sub-“paragraph (e) the words "which does not include heather" shall be deleted.

This Order amends the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Ynys Mo*n) Designation Order 1993 ("the principal Order").
Article 6(3) of the principal Order provided, amongst other things, that the annual rate of payment under an agreement for coastal belt which included heather should be £35 per hectare. This amending Order provides that the annual rate of payment for such coastal belt shall be £5 per hectare (article 2).
