The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the County Courts Act 1984(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.
2.-(1) The holding of the Northallerton County Court shall be discontinued and Schedule 3 to the Civil Courts Order 1983(2)shall accordingly be amended by deleting the entry relating to that court.
(2) The Darlington County Court shall have jurisdiction in proceedings commenced in the Northallerton County Court before this Order comes into force.
(3) No process shall be invalid only because the holding of the court described therein by name has been discontinued by this Order.

This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as to close the Northallerton County Court in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The Darlington County Court is given jurisdiction in proceedings commenced in Northallerton before its closure
