1. The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies North Yorkshire County Council.
2. In this Order:-
(1) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;
(2) | (i)"the deposited plan" | means the plan folio numbered HA10-YHCPD 48 marked "The A168 Trunk Road (Dishforth Interchange Link Road Detrunking) Order 1992", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY. |
(ii)"the trunk road" | means the Boroughbridge Thrisk Trunk Road (A168) |
3. This Order shall come into force on the 14th August 1992 and may be cited as the A168 Trunk Road (Dishforth Interchange Link Road Detrunking) Order 1992.

That length of the A168 southern trunk link road from a point about 340 metres south of its junction with the Unclassified County Road (SK 13R) (marked "A" on the deposited plan) south-westwards for a distance of 290 metres to a point 46 metres south-west of its junction with the Unclassified County Road (SK 13R) (marked "B" on the deposited plan).
