1. The Buckinghamshire County Council H5 Portway (V9-V10) Dualling (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1990 is hereby confirmed without modifications.
2. The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter reffered to as "the Scheme" is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme with its accompanying plan are deposited at the offices of the Department of Transport, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY and at the offices of Buckinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Alesbury, Buckinghamshire HP20 1UA.
3. The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980
4. This Instrument may be cited as the Buckinghamshire County Council H5 Portway (V9-V10) Dualling (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1990 Confirmation Instrument 1991.

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF BUCKINGHAMSHIRE (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers:-
1. The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the Grand Union Canal in the area of Newlands and Downhead Park in the Borough of Milton Keynes in the County of Buckinghamshire the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme adjacent to the existing bridge as part of the highway H5 Portway between V9 Overstreet and V10 Brickhill Street Milton Keynes aforesaid which the Council is proposing to dual.
2. This scheme may be cited as The Buckinghamshire County Council H5 Portway (V9-V10) Dualling (Canal Bridge) Scheme 1990.
GIVEN under the Common Seal of the Council this twenty seventh day of February 1990
The location and specification of the bridge are shown on drawing number P89068/0004 attached hereto and the construction of the bridge shall include:-
Clear Square Span | 22 metres |
Minimum Waterway Width | 15 metres |
Minimum Canal Headroom | 4.5 metres |
