1. The Kent County Council (Dartford Creek Bridge) Scheme 1990 is hereby confirmed without modifications.
2. The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as "the Scheme") is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme with its accompanying plans are deposited al the offices of the Department of Transport, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY and at the offices of the Kent County Council, Room 1:102, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent ME14 1XQ.
3. The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.
4. This Instrument may be cited as the Kent County Council (Dartford Creek Bridge) Scheme 1990 Confirmation Instrument 1991.

The Kent County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers:-
1. The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of Dartford Creek (River Darent) the Bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct from the A206 Thames Road, Bexley/Burnham Road, Dartford in a north easterly and then generally easterly and then south easterly direction to the West roundabout of Stone Marshes Interchange (Junction la) on the A282 South Orbital Road in the London Borough of Bexley and in the Borough of Dartford in the County of Kent.
2. This Scheme may be cited as "The Kent County Council (Dartford Creek Bridge) Scheme 1990".
The general design and site of the Bridge are shown on plans numbered 97/S/3 and 97/S/4 respectively, annexed hereto.
From a point 20 metres west of the west bank of Dartford Creek map reference 553663 east, 175641 north. To a point 25 metres cast of the cast bank of Dartford Creek map reference 553778 east, 175658 north. All on Ordnance Sheet TQ5375.
(Being approximately 390 metres south of the confluence of Crayford Creek and Dartford Creek).
The bridge will be 26.28 metres wide at the face of the West Abutment and 25.32 metres wide at the face of the East Abutment and will carry two carriageways each of 7.3 metres width with 1 metre margin strips each side of each carriageway. The central reserve between the carriageways will be 2.5 metres wide and the verges will be 1.5 metres wide. The Bridge will have an overall length of 112.50 metres on the North Elevation and 84.70 metres on the South Elevation.
The main navigation span is 28 metres, being the clear distance between the two intermediate supports.
1.80 metres minimum above High Water Mark ordinary Spring Tide (3.90 metres A.O.D.).
