1. The County Council of Humberside (Old River Ancholme Bridge) Scheme1990 is hereby confirmed without modifications.
2. The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as"the Scheme") is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme withits accompanying plan are deposited at the offices of the Department ofTransport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY, and at theoffices of the County Solicitor, Humberside County Council, County Hall,Beverley, North Humberside HU17 9BA.
3. The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that ithas been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 ofSchedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.
4. This Instrument may be cited as The County Council of Humberside(Old River Ancholme Bridge) Scheme 1990 Confirmation Instrument 1991.

The County Council of Humberside (hereinafter referred to as"the Council") makes this Scheme in exercise of its powers under Section 106(3)of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers:
1. The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters ofthe Old River Ancholme the bridge specified in the Schedule to theScheme as part of the highway which the Council are proposing toconstruct from a point on Bridge Street (A18) approximately 35 metreseast of the private access roadway known as Kiln Lane in a generallynortherly direction to and including a new roundabout which it isproposed to provide at the junction of Barnard Avenue and Almond Groveand then in a generally easterly and then south easterly direction to apoint on the north western extremity of the existing roundabout at thejunction of Wrawby Road (A18) with Bigby Street (A1084) and Bigby Road(A1084) at Brigg in the District of Glanford in the County ofHumberside.
2. This Scheme may be cited as The County Council of Humberside (OldRiver Ancholme Bridge) Scheme 1990.
The location and the general design of the bridge areshown on the drawing numbered 100/G/151/23. The River Authority for thenavigable watercourse is the National Rivers Authority Anglian Region,Aqua House, Harvey Street, Lincoln, LN1 1TF.
The bridge will comprise a reinforced concrete structure on piled foundations.
The bridge will have a single fixed span of 27.3 metres.
The bridge will have a width of 17.0 metres.
The bridge will have a minimum clear navigable waterway of 18.0 metres.
The bridge will have a headway of 3.513 metres when the water level in the Old River Ancholme is 1.247 metres above Ordnance Datum (Newlyn).
