The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 8(1) of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Tuberculosis (Scotland) (Amendment) Order 1990, shall apply to Scotland only and shall come into force on 15th October 1990.
2. The Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 1984(2) shall be amended by omitting article 16 (identification of bovine animals), article 17 (restriction on the movement or sale of unidentified bovine animals) and article 18 (marking of bovine animals).

This Order amends the Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 1984 by removing the provisions relating to the identification and marking of bovine animals and the restriction on the sale of unidentified bovine animals in markets (article 3). Those provisions now form part of the Bovine Animals (Identification, Marking and Breeding Records) Order 1990 (S.I. 1990/1867).
1981 c. 22; section 86(1) contains a definition of "appropriate Minister" which is relevant to these Regulations.
