The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England, and the Secretary of State in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1 and 8(1) of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Tuberculosis (England and Wales) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 15th October 1990.
2. The Tuberculosis (England and Wales) Order 1984(2) shall be amended as follows -
(a)article 16 (identification of bovine animals) and article 17 (restriction on the sale of unidentified bovine animals in markets) shall be omitted; and
(b)in paragraph (3) of article 18 (marking of bovine animals) the words "or in article 16(1) above" shall be omitted.

This Order amends the Tuberculosis (England and Wales) Order 1984 by omitting the provisions relating to the identification of bovine animals and the restriction on the sale of unidentified bovine animals in markets (article 2). Those provisions now form part of the Bovine Animals (Identification, Marking and Breeding Records) Order 1990 (S.I. 1990/1867).
