The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 81(2) of the Self-Governing Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 1989(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Self-Governing Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 1989 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1990.
2. Section 72 of the Self-Governing Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 1989 (further amendment of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 in respect of recorded children) shall come into force on 1st June 1990.

This Order brings into force section 72 of the Self-Governing Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 1989 (further amendment of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 in respect of recorded children).
The provisions of that Act are now all in force, except section 70 (which relates to appraisal of teachers) and Schedule 10, paragraph 10 (which amends the School Boards (Scotland) Act 1988).
