1. The section of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. In this Order-“
(i)"the deposited plan" | means the plan numbered HA/10/113/2WM marked "The (A4123) East of Birmingham-“Birkenhead Trunk Road (De-Trunking at the Junction of Wolverhampton Road and Hagley Road West) Order 1989" signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1 3PY. |
(ii)"the trunk road" | means the (A4123) East of Birmingham-“Birkenhead Trunk Road. |
3. This Order shall come into force on 5th May 1989 and may be cited as the (A4123) East of Birmingham-“Birkenhead Trunk Road (De-Trunking at the Junction of Wolverhampton Road and Hagley Road West) Order 1989.

The length of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is that length of the trunk road in the Metropolitan District of Sandwell which is an irregularly shaped area of the trunk road on the north eastern side of the junction of the Wolverhampton Road (A4123) and Hagley Road West more particularly shown on the plan.
