1. The Secretary of State is authorised to construct the bridge specified in Schedule No 1 to this Order as part of the new trunk road (to be constructed in pursuance of the A47 Leicester-Great Yarmouth Trunk Road (Norwich Southern Bypass and Slip Roads) (Southern and Eastern Section) Order 1989(3), over the navigable waters of the River Yare at Norwich in the County of Norfolk.
2. This Order shall come into force on 9th January 1990 and may be cited as the A47 Leicester-Great Yarmouth Trunk Road (Norwich Southern Bypass) (River Yare Bridge) Order 1989.

From a point on the west bank of the River Yare approximately 169 metres (554 FT) northwest of the sewage works river outfall to a point on the east bank of the river approximately 170 metres (558 ft) north of the sewage works river outfall.
Not less than 50 metres measures on the centre line over a waterway width of 48 metres.
Navigation headroom not less than 10.7 metres above mean high water level which is assumed as 1.0 metre above ordnance datum newlyn to be maintained for a river width of 48 metres (157 ft).
