1. The new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the routes described in the Schedule to this Order which connect the trunk road with another highway at the place stated in that Schedule (the highways along these routes being in this Order referred to as"the slip roads"), shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. The centre line of each of the slip roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.
3. In this Order-“
(i)"the deposited plan" means the plan numbered HA10/2E/288, marked"The A12 Trunk Road (Capel St. Mary Grade-Separated Junction Slip Roads) Order 1989", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;
(ii)"the trunk road" means the A12 Trunk Road.
4. This Order shall come into force on 16th October 1989 and may be cited as the A12 Trunk Road (Capel St. Mary Grade-Separated Junction Slip Roads) Order 1989.

The routes of the slip roads are at Capel St. Mary and Bentley in the County of Suffolk, and connect the southbound carriageway of the trunk road with a road to be constructed by the Secretary of State pursuant to the A12 Trunk Road (Capel St. Mary Grade Separated Junction Side Roads) Order 1989, linking Bentley Road (C426) with The Street (C470) and London Road South (C472) (the routes of the slip roads being respectively given the reference numbers 1 and 2 on the deposited plan).
