This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of a defect in S.I. 1989/1155 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Instrument.

The Secretary of State for the Environment and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 173 of the Water Act 1989(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:-“
1. This Order may be cited as the Water Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) (Designated Persons) (Amendment) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st September 1989.
2. The Water Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) (Designated Persons) Order 1989(2) is amended by the substitution for article 2(2)(a) of the following sub-paragraph-“
"(a)Water International Limited".

This Order amends the Water Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) (Designated Persons) Order 1989 by substituting for the reference in article 2(2)(a) to British Water International Limited a reference to Water International Limited. British Water International Limited changed its name to Water International Limited on 22nd April 1988.
