The Secretary of State for Wales makes this Order in exercise of his powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and of all other enabling powers:-
1. The existing highways specified in the Schedule to this Order and shown by striped hatching on the deposited plan shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2. In this Order-
(a)"the deposited plan" means the plan numbered HA10/2 W069 marked "The London-Fishguard Trunk Road (A48) (Cross Hands Industrial Site Interchange, Slip Roads Trunking) Order 1988", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Welsh Office, Curran Embankment Repository, Cardiff;
(b)"the trunk road" means the London-Fishguard Trunk Road (A48).
3. This Order shall come into force on 30th September 1988, and may be cited as the London-Fishguard Trunk Road (A48) (Cross Hands Industrial Site Interchange, Slip Roads Trunking) Order 1988.

The routes of existing highways to become trunk roads are shown by striped hatching on the deposited plan and comprise the north and southbound slip roads to the Cross Hands Industrial Site to and from the trunk road at Meadows Road Bridge, Cross Hands, Dyfed.
The routes being:-
1. The northbound slip road commencing at its junction with Meadows Road for 550 metres south to its junction with the trunk road.
2. The southbound slip road commencing at its junction with Meadows Road for 576 metres south to its junction with the trunk road.
