Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 5 of the West Indies Act 1962(1) and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1987 and shall be construed as one with the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) Order 1976(2).
(2) This Order shall come into force on such day as the Governor, acting in his discretion, may appoint by proclamation published in the Gazette.
2. Paragraph 3(1)(c) of Schedule 2 to the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1986(3) shall be amended by substituting for the words "up to four persons" the words "up to six persons", and section 5 of the said Order shall have effect accordingly.

This Order amends the Constitution of the Turks and Caicos Islands, as modified by the Turks and Caicos Islands (Constitution) (Interim Amendment) Order 1986, to increase to a maximum of six the number of persons who may be appointed by the Governor as nominated members of the Executive Council for the Islands.
