The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road and Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Secretary of State for the Home Department, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the A406 Trunk Road (Hanger Lane, Ealing) (Prohibition of Left Turn) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st April 1987.
2. In this Order "Hanger Lane" means that length of the London North Circular Trunk Road (A406), in the London Borough of Ealing, known as Hanger Lane.
3. Save as provided in article 4 of this Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in–
(a)Hanger Lane, or
(b)Abbey Parade
to make a left turn into Twyford Abbey Road during the period between 0700 hours and 0930 hours on Monday to Friday inclusive in any week.
4. Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used on any day which is a bank holiday under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971(2) or for fire brigade, police or ambulance purposes, or to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
