LEGAL AID AND ADVICE, SCOTLAND

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 46 of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1987.
2. The provisions of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 (other than Part V and section 30), insofar as they are not already in force, shall come into force on 1st April 1987.

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1987 all the provisions of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 which are not already in force, except for Part V (which relates to the employment of solicitors by the Scottish Legal Aid Board) and section 30 (which makes special provision for legal aid in contempt proceedings).
