Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 123(4) and 127 of the Employment Protection Act 1975(1) and of all other powers enabling Her Majesty, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order and it is hereby ordered as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Employment Protection (Offshore Employment) (Amendment) Order 1984 and shall come into operation on 29th August 1984.
2. The Employment Protection (Offshore Employment) Order 1976, as amended(2), shall be further amended as follows:-
(a)in Article 3 after (f) there shall be inserted the following provision-
"(g)the Employment Act 1982 (c.46),"
and
(b)in the Schedule there shall be inserted after Part VI the following Part:-
11. Subject to 12 below, the provisions of the 1982 Act shall apply for such purposes as are relevant to or in relation to persons in employment to which this Order applies.
12. Sections 1 and 2 and Schedule 1 are not applied."

This Order, which comes into operation on 29th August 1984, amends the Employment Protection (Offshore Employment) Order 1976 by including the provisions of the Employment Act 1982, except sections 1 and 2 and Schedule 1.
section 127 was extended by section 1(1) of the Employment (Continental Shelf) Act 1978 (c.46) and amended by the Employment Act 1982 (c.46), section 21 and Schedule 3, paragraph 13(4).
The relevant amending instrument is S.I. 1981/208.
