The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(2) and (4) of the Transport Act 1982, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1982 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1983.
2. The 1st April 1983 is hereby appointed as the day on which the Transport Act 1982, Schedule 5, paragraph 10(b) (minor and consequential amendments about certificate of conformity) comes into force.
3. The 11th April 1983 is hereby appointed as the day on which the Transport Act, section 57 (authorisation of head-worn appliances for use on motor cycles), section 63 (amendment of certain penalties) and section 65 (marking of builder's skips) come into force.

By this Order-
(a) 1st April 1983 is appointed as the day on which paragraph 10(b) of Schedule 5 to the Transport Act 1982 comes into force.
(b)11th April 1983 is appointed as the day on which sections 57, 63 and 65 of that Act come into force.
The following provisions of the Transport Act 1982 have been brought into force by Commencement Orders before the date of this Order.
