The Minister for the Civil Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5(2) of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Specification of Pensions) Regulations 1977, and shall come into operation on 11th November 1977.
(2) In these Regulations "pension" means
(3) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
2. The Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 shall have effect in relation to a pension payable by virtue of the Regulations specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto as if it were a pension specified in Part I of Schedule 2 to the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971.
3. The Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 shall have effect in relation to a pensions payable by virtue of the Regulations specified in Part II of the Schedule hereto as if it were a pension specified in Part II of Schedule 2 to the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971.

Regulations 2 and 3
1. The Vehicle and Driving Licences (Compensation to Officers) Regulations 1977(1) or under any regulation amending or replacing the same.
2. The New Towns Transfer Schemes (Compensation) Regulations 1977(2) or under any regulation amending or replacing the same.
These Regulations apply the provisions of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 to pensions paid under the regulations specified in the Schedule thereto.
