Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25(1) of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance (Convention Countries) Order 1975 and shall come into operation on 12th April 1975.
2. The countries and territories specified in the Schedule to this Order, being countries and territories outside the United Kingdom to which the United Nations Convention on the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance done at New York on 20th June 1956 extends, are hereby declared to be convention countries for the purposes of Part II of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972.

This Order declares that the countries and territories specified in the Schedule to the Order, which Schedule lists the countries and territories to which the United Nations Convention on the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance, done at New York on 20th June 1956, extends, are convention countries for the purposes of Part II of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1972.
