In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsection (6) of section 66 of the Criminal Justice Act 1972, there having been made the rules of court(1) referred to in that part of the proviso to that subsection which relates to section 36 of that Act, I hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1972 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1973.
2. The provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1972 specified in the Schedules to this Order shall come into force on the dates mentioned in the heading of those Schedules.

This Order brings into force on 1st October 1973 and 30th March 1974 respectively the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1972 set out in Schedules 1 and 2 to the Order.
