The Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Articles 9(3), 11(2) and (5), 25(2), 27(4) and 28(1) and (3) of the Air Navigation Order 1972(1) as applied to Jersey by the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 1972(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (General) (Jersey) Regulations 1972 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1972.
2.-(1) The Air Navigation (General) (Jersey) Regulations 1966(3) are hereby revoked.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of Regulation as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. The Air Navigation (General) Regulations 1972(4) shall apply in relation to Jersey as they apply in relation to the United Kingdom with modifications, adaptations and exceptions specified in the Schedule to these Regulations.
4. In these Regulations, the expression "Jersey" means

1. Any reference to the Air Navigation Order 1972 shall be construed as a reference to that Order as applied to Jersey by the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 1972.
2. In Regulation 5(1) for the words "the United Kingdom" there shall be substituted the word "Jersey".
3. In Regulation 6(4)(c) for the words "the United Kingdom" there shall be substituted the word "Jersey".
4. Regulation 12 shall be omitted.
5. Regulations 14 and 15 shall be omitted.
These Regulations revoke and reproduce the substance of the Air Navigation (General) (Jersey) Regulations 1966 and substitute the Secretary of State for the Board of Trade.
