Her Majesty, in pursuance of the power conferred upon Her by section 22(1) of the Friendly and Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1968, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. The Friendly and Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1968, in so far as it relates to societies registered under the Friendly Societies Act 1896, shall extend to the Isle of Man, subject to the modification that in section 6(8) the reference to the High Court shall be construed as a reference to the Chancery Division of the High Court of the Isle of Man.
2. This Order may be cited as the Friendly Societies (Isle of Man) Order 1968 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1969.
