Summary
The invention related to identifying patterns and relations between items in transactions where each processing node generated local frequency pattern trees which were then used to generate global conditional frequency pattern trees which are distributed to each processing node so that patterns, rules and relations between the items can be generated. The hearing officer found the invention to be excluded as a program for a computer as such and a method of doing business as such. He therefore refused the application.
