Summary
The application relates to using DNA based authentication to verify IDs and thereby control access to various internet based services. Following SABAF, the invention was found to be a collocation of two integers: (a) Associating personal information with each of a plurality of DNA authenticated users, this personal information being publicly available on each website visited by such a user and being suitable for tracking which websites a user has visited; and (b) Authenticating the identity of a user using a sample of their DNA and allowing such an authenticated user to register an internet domain name. Applying the Windsurfing/Pozzoli test separately to these two integers the claims were found to lack the required inventive step and the application was refused under section 18(3).
