United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office Decisions
The decision relates to a request for review of opinion 02/12. The patent relates to an electrically powered golf trolley having a USB socket which can be used to power an electrical component (e.g. a portable music player), and means to support such a component. The opinion related to the question of whether another golf trolley infringed the patent and found that there was no infringement. The proprietor requested a review on the grounds that the examiner had wrongly construed the claim. The Hearing Officer found that the examiner had not made an error of principle or reached a conclusion that was clearly wrong, and therefore refused to set aside the opinion.
