Summary
An earlier decision had decided the issue of entitlement essentially in favour of the defendant Mr Robert Williamson. In that earlier decision the Hearing Officer had made no order as to cost as he had believed that neither side had sought its costs. Subsequent to that decision the defendant had argued that he had indeed asked for his costs. The Hearing Officer accepted that he had made an error in his earlier decision and following submissions from both sides made a cost award of £1500 in favour of the defendant.
