Summary
The application relates to a system for monitoring and updating delivery schedules based on real-time feedback of completed deliveries and changes made by customers. The system creates a delivery schedule to be followed by a delivery person and can re-calculate the estimated delivery times of remaining deliveries after a delivery has completed and the actual delivery time has been entered into the system. The Hearing Officer found that the substance of the invention was a method of doing business embodied in computer software which fell within the exclusions of section 1(2)(c). He failed to find a technical contribution that would make such an excluded invention patentable.
