The complainant has requested evidence of police forces failing to follow reasonable lines of enquiry. The above public authority stated that it did not hold some information and relied on sections 21 (reasonably accessible), 35 (formulation of government policy), 36 (prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs) and 40 (third party personal information) of FOIA to withhold information. The Commissioner's decision is that the public authority does not in fact hold any information within the scope of the request, other than that already published. The Commissioner does not require further steps to be taken.
