The complainant has requested historical information regarding a named individual who had been allegedly struck off as a teacher. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Department for Education (DfE) is entitled to rely on section 40(5B)(a)(i) of FOIA to refuse to confirm or deny whether it holds the information requested.
