The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools
The complainant requested data on school admissions. The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools provided some information but relied on section 22 of the FOIA (intended for future publication) to withhold the remainder. The Commissioner’s decision is that the withheld information engages section 22 of the FOIA and that public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner also notes that TBGS did not issue a refusal notice within 20 working days and therefore breached section 17 of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require further steps. First-tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) Information Rights appeal EA/2021/0346 under appeal.
