DVLA
The complainant has requested the DVLA to disclose the registration marks linked to previously commercially owned vehicles from the date the DVLA stopped including this information on the V5C log book up to the cost limit. The DVLA refused to comply with the request citing section 14(1) of the FOIA. It also cited section 17(6) and advised the complainant that it would not respond to any future requests of this nature. The Commissioner’s decision is that the DVLA is entitled to refuse to comply with the complainant’s request in accordance with section 14(1) of the FOIA. She therefore does not require any further action to be taken.
