Department for Transport
The complainant has requested the Department for Transport (DfT) to disclose meetings and correspondence between ministers and/or senior civil servants and Carnival UK for the period 1 March to 9 October 2019. The DfT refused to confirm or deny whether it holds recorded information in accordance with section 24(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the DfT is entitled to refuse to confirm or deny whether it holds recorded information in accordance with section 24(2) of the FOIA. She does not therefore require any further action to be taken.
