Wokingham Borough Council
The complainant has requested from Wokingham Borough Council information in relation to a report about road safety improvements on a specific road, commissioned by the Council. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council failed to take reasonable measure to identify the information requested and therefore breached its duty to provide advice and assistance as required by section 16 of the FOIA. The Commissioner also finds that the Council failed to comply with its duties under section 1 of the FOIA within 20 working days and therefore also breached section 10 of the FOIA. As the Council has now provided the information sought by the complainant, the Commissioner does not require the Council to take any further step, in order to comply with this decision notice.
