London Borough of Sutton Council
The complainant requested information related to the provision of specialist education services for deaf children and young people. The request formed part of a nationwide series of requests submitted to public authorities for information of this nature. The Commissioner’s decision is that London Borough of Sutton (“the London Borough”) failed to respond to the request within 20 working days and has therefore breached section 10 of the FOIA. The Commissioner requires the London Borough to take the following steps to ensure compliance with the legislation. Issue a substantive response, under the FOIA, to the request.
