Queen Mary University of London
The complainant has requested information from the Queen Mary University of London that relates to the number of allocated places and admitted students for specific courses in London and Malta for specified academic years; the number of exemptions/waivers issued in respect of the United Kingdom Clinical Aptitude Test for specified academic years; the list of all grounds of exemptions/waivers for the UKCAT which have been issued; and a copy of the standard/generic notice issued by QMUL giving notice/waiver for the UKCAT. QMUL refused to comply with the request as it considered it to be vexatious under section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 The Commissioner’s decision is that QMUL has correctly applied section 14(1) of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.
