Attorney Generals Office
The complainant requested information concerning the Kampala amendments to the Statute of Rome. The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) refused the request and cited the exemptions provided by sections 27(1) (international relations), 35(3) (Law Officers’ advice) and 42(2) (legal professional privilege). The Commissioner’s decision is that the AGO cited these exemptions correctly and so was not obliged to comply with the complainant’s information request.
