5 August 2015, Police and criminal justice
The complainant made a series of requests for information over a very short period of time to Avon and Somerset Constabulary (“the Constabulary”) about its injury on duty (“IOD”) award review. The Constabulary considered that all the requests were vexatious and relied on section 14(1) of the FOIA to refuse to comply with them. The Commissioner considers that the requests were vexatious and that section 14(1) was correctly engaged. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken. This decision notice is currently under appeal to the Tribunal.
