7 May 2015, Central government
The complainant requested all communications between Fiona Woolf and the Home Secretary and the Permanent Secretary of the Home Office between 3 September 2014 and the date of the request. The Home Office refused to disclose this information and cited the exemption provided by section 36(2)(c) (prejudice to the effective conduct of public affairs) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Home Office cited this exemption correctly and so it was not obliged to disclose this information.
