The complainant submitted a request to the public authority for the cost of the legal assistance provided to witnesses for the Leveson Inquiry. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was not entitled to withhold the information requested on the basis of section 22(1) FOIA (information intended for future publication). The Commissioner requires the public authority disclose to the complainant the cost of the legal assistance provided by the public authority (through Treasury Solicitors) to witnesses for the Leveson Inquiry.
