7 October 2014, Central government
The complainant requested information in connection with the decision by the Privy Council to recommend that Association for Project Management, a representative body for Project Managers, should be granted a Royal Charter following an application received by the body. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on the exemption at section 35(1)(a) to withhold information within the scope of the request which was not disclosed to the complainant (referred to as “the disputed information” in this notice). The Commissioner however finds the public authority in breach of sections 10(1) and 17(3) FOIA. No steps required.
