The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 13(2)(a) of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004( 1), and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 17(3) of that Act( 2), a draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
In accordance with section 14(2) of that Act they have consulted a Minister of the Crown before making this Order.
1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Amendment of List of Responders) (Scotland) Order 2021 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
2. In Part 2 of schedule 1 of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Category 1 Responders: Scotland), after paragraph 17 insert—
17A. An integration authority within the meaning of section 59 of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014( 3) . ”.

This Order amends the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (“the Act”) by adding an integration authority to the list of Category 1 responders for Scotland in Part 2 of schedule 1 of the Act. This means that an integration authority is subject to the duties imposed by Part 1 of the Act.
Section 17(3) has been modified by paragraph 5 of schedule 3 of the Interpretation and Legislative Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 (asp 10).
