The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 14(5) of the Convention Rights (Compliance) (Scotland) Act 2001(1) ("the 2001 Act") and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 14(4) of the 2001 Act, the Scottish Ministers have laid before the Scottish Parliament a statement summarising all the observations to which they had to have regard under section 14(3) of the 2001 Act in relation to the Representation of the People Act 1983 Remedial (Scotland) Order 2019(2), and have specified that they consider it appropriate to revoke that Order.
1. This Order may be cited as the Representation of the People Act 1983 Remedial (Scotland) Revocation Order 2019 and comes into force on 27 January 2020.
2. The Representation of the People Act 1983 Remedial (Scotland) Order 2019 is revoked.
