The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 62(1)(h) of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 2008(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
The Scottish Ministers have consulted the Lord President in accordance with section 62(2) of that Act.
1. This Order may be cited as the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (Administrative Support) (Specified Persons) Order 2015 and comes into force on 27th June 2015.
2. The Scottish Sentencing Council(2) is specified for the purposes of section 62 of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 2008.

This Order adds the Scottish Sentencing Council to the list of persons that the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service provides, or must ensure the provision of, administrative support for under section 62 of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 2008 (the 2008 Act).
By virtue of section 62(1) of the 2008 Act this includes providing, or ensuring the provision of, property, services and any staff required for the purposes set out in that section.
2008 asp 6. Section 62 was amended by the Courts Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 asp 18, Schedule 4(1) paragraphs 1(2), 1(4); Schedule 5(1) paragraph 9(5) and Schedule 5(2), paragraph 16(4); and by the Scottish Civil Justice Council and Criminal Legal Assistance Act 2013 asp 3, section 15(3).
The Scottish Sentencing Council is established by section 1(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 asp 13.
