(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Police Service of Scotland Regulations 2013 so that the definition of "public holiday" means Christmas Day and New Year's Day only.
Regulation 3 makes transitional provision so that any day's leave in lieu of a public holiday granted before the coming into force of these Regulations, which is yet to be taken at the time they come into force, can continue to be taken on or after that date despite the change to the definition of "public holiday".
