These Regulations make provision as to whom the Organising Committee of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games may designate as an enforcement officer. Section 21 of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 already allows the designation of an inspector of weights and measures as an enforcement officer. These Regulations permit a person to be designated as an enforcement officer if that person is authorised to enforce the provisions of section 92 of the Trade Marks Act 1994 and the council which granted the authorisation approves the designation.
