The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1. This Order may be cited as the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2012 and comes into force on 23rd June 2012.
2.-(1) The Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 2010(2) is amended as follows.
(2) In Schedule 1 (sports grounds)-
(a)omit the following entries-
Almondvale Stadium | Livingston |
Forthbank Stadium | Stirling |
New Bayview Park | Methil; |
(b)insert the following entries at the appropriate places-
Bayview Stadium | Methil |
The Braidwood Motor Company Stadium | Livingston |
Doubletree Dunblane Stadium | Stirling; and |
(c)after "Victoria Park" where it second appears, insert "Stadium".
(3) After paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 2 (classes of sporting events), insert-
"7. Association football matches in Scotland where the match is part of the Games of the Thirtieth Olympiad which take place in 2012.".

This Order amends the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 2010 ("the 2010 Order"). The 2010 Order designates sports grounds, classes of sporting events played at those grounds and classes of sporting events outside Great Britain for the purposes of Part II of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995 (sporting events: control of alcohol etc.).
Article 2(2) of this Order makes changes to the designated sporting grounds in the 2010 Order to reflect changes to the names of the home grounds of football clubs which are members of the Scottish Football League.
Article 2(3) of this Order makes changes to the designated sporting events in the 2010 Order by inserting an entry for association football matches in Scotland where the match is part of the Olympic Games which take place in 2012.
1995 c.39. The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46). Section 18 has been modified by paragraph 2 of schedule 3 to the Interpretation and Legislative Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 (asp 10).
