The Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2007
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30(4) of the Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007[

Citation
1.
This Order may be cited as the Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2007.
Appointed day
2.
The provisions of the Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007, in so far as they are not already in force, come into force on 28th December 2007.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order appoints 28th December 2007 for the coming into force of the provisions of the Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007 so far as not then in force (article 2).
The Transport and Works (Scotland) Act 2007 received Royal Assent on 14th March 2007. Sections 28 and 30 came into force on the day after Royal Assent by virtue of section 30(2). Sections 25(2) and (5)(a) to (g), (i) and (j) and 27 came into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the date of Royal Assent by virtue of section 30(3).
